SCENE: What brought you to New York?

KKM: I was born and raised in New York City and I really never plan on leaving.

SCENE: When did you first realize you were a New Yorker?

KKM: Hanging out at a Knicks game with my dad when I was 14. We went to almost every home game. We were cheering on Patrick Ewing and they were on their way to the playoffs. Everyone was yelling and I really felt like I belonged.

SCENE: What is your favorite building in New York?

KKM: The Richard Meier triplets. I’m a longtime Meier fan.

SCENE: If you could live in any apartment in New York, which one would it be?

KKM: At some point, I’ve dreamed of living in every building we work on, but as of this morning it’s a tie between the penthouse at The Mark and the penthouse at One57.

SCENE: What’s your favorite part about living in New York?

KKM: The people. New Yorkers are much nicer than we get credit for.
